The M9 Trauma arrives at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

Last week saw a brand new fleet of M9 Trauma patient trolleys arrive at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, part of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital is England’s first purpose-built specialist emergency care hospital, with emergency consultants on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The hospital has completed a full trolley replacement programme in ED, introducing 50 Howard Wright M9 Trauma trolleys to the department with the aim of reducing patient falls.

The M9 Trauma lowers to a class-leading height of 43cm, making it easier for patients to put their feet flat on the floor when getting on and off the trolley. This low height capability eliminates the need for steps and ensures safer patient transfers.

We look forward to working with team in ED and thank them for their support.
